Add 20-25% for surface roughness/voids (higher than concrete's 1.54 factor since plaster has a thinner, more surface-dependent application), then apply the mix ratio to find cement and sand quantities.
Internal wall plastering is typically 12-15mm thick. External plastering is usually done in two coats totaling 18-20mm (a rough coat plus a finishing coat) for better weather resistance. Ceiling plaster is often thinner, around 6-10mm.
