Tool Reign ("we", "our", "us") operates toolreign.com, a free online utility platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
What We Collect
Tool Reign is primarily a client-side application. Most tool processing happens in your browser and those inputs are not sent to our servers. A small number of tools (for example the API Client in Proxy mode) need a network request to work; those pages explain what is sent before you proceed.
We do NOT collect or store:
- Tool drafts and results that stay in your browser (local storage / IndexedDB)
- File contents processed entirely in-browser (PDFs, images, audio)
- Proxy relay payloads as logs (API Client proxy does not store or log URLs, headers, or bodies)
We DO collect (via Google Analytics), only after you Accept analytics:
- Page views (which pages you visit)
- Session duration
- Browser type and operating system
- Country-level location (city-level is disabled)
- Referring website
All analytics data is anonymized. IP addresses are anonymized before being sent to Google Analytics. You can Decline analytics on the consent banner or change your choice anytime via Cookie settings in the footer.
We use Microsoft Clarity (only after Accept) to understand how visitors use toolreign.com — including anonymized click patterns, scroll behavior, and session recordings of site navigation. This applies only to how you browse the website itself and does not capture tool inputs — interactive tool areas are masked for Clarity, and tool inputs are not transmitted to us.
Browser features and extensions (spellcheck, translation, password managers, writing assistants) may process text you enter. We don't control these.
How Your Data Is Stored
Your tool preferences, analytics consent choice, and recent inputs (where a tool offers drafts) are kept in your browser's localStorage — not on our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for toolreign.com.
Theme preference (light/dark mode) is also kept in localStorage under the key toolreign-theme. UI style preference (Modern or Retro 98) is stored locally under toolreign_ui-style.
Cookies
If you Accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 may set _ga and _ga_* cookies, and Microsoft Clarity may set _clck and _clsk cookies. Our own preferences (theme, consent, tool drafts) use localStorage, not first-party preference cookies. If you Decline, we do not load GA4 or Clarity scripts, so those analytics cookies are not set by us.
Tools that make network requests
A few tools fetch public data or download on-device models by design. Each says so on its page:
- Currency Converter — live rates from Frankfurter (ECB)
- YouTube / Vimeo Thumbnail Grabber — public thumbnail images
- API Client — requests to URLs you enter (optional third-party CORS proxy)
- Background Remover, Face Blur, Passport Photo Maker, Profile Picture Framer, Hand Pose Visualizer — on-device MediaPipe models from a CDN
- Image to Text — Tesseract OCR runtime from a CDN
- DNS Lookup — DNS-over-HTTPS (Cloudflare / Google)
- IP Address Lookup — public IP via ipify
These requests do not send your tool amounts, uploaded images, or API request bodies to Tool Reign servers.
Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics (GA4): Loaded only after Accept. Data is sent to Google with IP anonymization enabled and advertising features disabled. See Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

- Fonts: Fonts are self-hosted via Next.js font optimization (
next/font). We do not load fonts from fonts.googleapis.com or an external font CDN.
Your Rights
You can Decline analytics on first visit, or use Cookie settings in the site footer to change your choice. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and opt out of Clarity via Microsoft's Clarity opt-out.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act where applicable), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us at the address on our Contact page to make a request.
Children's Privacy
Tool Reign is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
