How is monthly fuel cost calculated?+
Monthly fuel needed = monthly km ÷ vehicle mileage. Monthly cost = fuel needed × price per litre/kg/kWh. Cost per km = fuel price ÷ mileage.
What are current petrol prices in India?+
As of June 2026, approximate prices are: Mumbai ₹104/L, Delhi ₹95/L, Bengaluru ₹102/L, Chennai ₹101/L, Pune ₹104/L. Prices vary by pump and change frequently — edit in the calculator.
Is CNG cheaper than petrol?+
Usually yes. CNG costs less per kg and many vehicles get better km/kg. Use the Compare All Fuels tab to see exact savings for your monthly driving.
How much does electric charging cost?+
Home charging averages around ₹8/kWh in India. An EV doing 7 km/kWh costs roughly ₹1.14/km vs ₹6–7/km for petrol at typical mileages.
What mileage should I use?+
Defaults: Petrol 15 km/L, Diesel 18 km/L, CNG 20 km/kg, EV 7 km/kWh. Enter your actual vehicle mileage for accurate results.
