Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions

How do I convert text to Morse code?+

Select Text → Morse, type your message, and read the live output. Letters are separated by spaces and words by your chosen separator (/ or |).

Can I hear the Morse code?+

Yes. Click Play to hear beeps generated in your browser with the Web Audio API. Adjust WPM (5–30) and pitch (400–800 Hz).

What characters are supported?+

Standard ITU Morse for A–Z, 0–9, and common punctuation. The reference table lists A–Z and digits.

How does Morse timing work?+

Timing follows the PARIS standard: dot length = 1.2 ÷ WPM seconds. Dashes are three dots long, with standard gaps between symbols, letters, and words.

Is my text sent to a server?+

No. Encoding, decoding, and audio synthesis all run locally in your browser.
